October 2024 Update

Hey blog reader! Time for an update. A lot has happened.

First, after being in residence here in Madison for a bit over four months, our first family, Mauridi and Asende are officially launched and seem to be functioning independently. They have moved to Virginia and now are living with family, and working full time. We miss them and have great hope that we were able to ease their integration to life in the USA.

Second, we have applied to sponsor a second family, and have received a grant to help support them. We have been matched with a family from Venezuela, and expect their arrival in the next weeks or months. We’re excited and of course a little nervous. But mostly excited. :) Stand by for more frequent updates in the coming weeks.
